At the Iowa Internet Broadcasting Company, our mission is to provide our listeners with the best music and entertainment while also keeping them informed. We strive to create a sense of community among our listeners and to bring people together through the power of internet radio.
The Variety Network has been a part of the internet radio industry for over 7 years. The Variety Network stared as KWPO Radio Online when our creator Joey Gatchel had a dream of sharing his love of music with the world. Once he figured out how... BOOM! - KWPO was born. Funded by most of his own money he bought all the equipment he needed he began setting everything up. When it was ready to go live he said "OK let's do this". KWPO signed on for the world at noon on May 5, 2017 and hasn't signed off since. On November 20th, 2018 KWPO moved from Wellman, Iowa to Des Moines, Iowa where we broadcast from today. On January 4th, 2022 KWPO changed their name to The Variety Network to freshen up the brand. Now entering our 8th year of constant broadcasting we are happy to be the only place on the internet that plays variety like this. It's like the hat you used to pull names out of at school just for music instead -Totally random!
